Introduction

This Privacy Policy (the "Privacy Policy") explains the practices of Ceratec Surfaces Inc. ("Ceratec Surfaces") regarding the treatment, including the collection, use, disclosure, retention and destruction of personal information that we collect from you ("you").

This Privacy Policy applies to our website https://ceratec.com (the "Website"), and any other products or services that Ceratec Surfaces makes available to you (collectively, the "Service").

What Personal Information is Collected?

We may collect personal information about you in two ways: (1) when you interact directly with the Website, Platform and Usage Windows, for example by filling out an online form, and (2) through automated interactions or technologies as you browse the Service, we may automatically collect your technical and usage information.

We may collect the following categories of personal information:

a) "Identity and Contact Information":

Professional e-mail address when you upload a texture via the Usage Windows or on the Platform;

b) "Commercial Information":

Personal information provided as part of the contractual or customer relationship between you and Ceratec Surfaces;

c) "Usage Information":

Information about how you use the Website or Platform, including language of display, services and products consulted or searched for, page response time, download errors, IP address, operating system, time and day of connection to the Website or Platform, duration of visits and information about page interaction (including scrolling, clicks and mouse-over), which is processed through the use of cookies;

d) "Technical Information":

Information collected during your visits to our Website or Platform. This information includes your Internet Protocol (IP) address, web log and connection data, referred Internet addresses, other communications data, searches performed and pages visited, time, date, language preferences, browsers you use and their versions, browser add-on types and versions, device type, time zone settings, operating system and platform of your devices with which you browse or use the Website or Platform. Also, in order to facilitate your use of the Website and Platform or for future communications, Lightbeans or its service providers may use cookies to collect information about your Internet connection and how and when you access the Website or Platform;

e) "Marketing Information":

Your preferences regarding the receipt of marketing emails or other marketing tools transmitted via the Website, Platform or Usage Windows, third-party marketing tools and your communication preferences. This information may be linked to your personal identity;

f) "Application Information":

Information collected when you apply for employment with Ceratec Surfaces online or otherwise, such as your name, contact information, resume, work experience, interests, academic records, references or any other information that may be collected as part of a hiring process.

We collect this personal information for the purposes described in the next section. We do not collect personal information about you from third parties unless we have your consent or unless authorized by law.

If you provide us with personal information about any other individual, you must ensure that they understand how their personal information will be used and that they have given you permission to share it with us and allow our suppliers to use it.

How do we use your Personal Information

Generally, we collect your personal information for the purposes of providing access to the Website, Platform, User Windows and providing our services to you. We may also collect your personal information as part of a hiring process if you apply for employment with Ceratec Surfaces.

Cookies

Cookies. Some pages of our Service require the use of cookies. A cookie is a file installed on the physical disk of your device that contains information to improve communication between our server and your browser. Our server installs a permanent cookie on your device when you first visit our site. Depending on the applications you use, other permanent or temporary cookies may be used to technically manage certain choices you make. No personally identifiable information is stored in cookies.

Cookies used by our Services Providers

- We use Google Analytics to analyze the use of our Service. Google Analytics collects information about website usage with cookies. The information collected is used to create reports on the use of our Website, Platform and Usage Windows. - We use Meta Ads conversion tracking (Pixel), an analytics service provided by Meta Inc. that links data from Meta Inc.'s advertising network to user interactions across Lightbeans' online services. The Meta Pixel tracks conversions that can be attributed to ads on Facebook, Instagram and Audience Network. Meta Ads can use this data to personalize and contextualize the advertising offers disseminated in its advertising network.

- We use Hotjar, a user behavior collection and analysis service provided by Hotjar Ltd. It collects Usage Information and makes it possible to determine the number of visits and sources of traffic. This information is anonymized. Cookie Management. You can consult the configuration options of your web browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, etc.).

Communication of your Personal Information

Except as expressly set out in the Privacy Policy, we do not sell, rent, transfer or disclose your personal information to third parties for undisclosed purposes without your consent. Access to your personal information is restricted to Lightbeans staff, management, technical, sales, marketing and human resources personnel who need access to your personal information in order to perform their duties for Ceratec Surfaces.

Exceptions. We may transfer unencrypted personal information to which we have access to:

- our service providers, that is, third parties (or otherwise make them available) who provide services on our behalf in Canada, the United States or abroad, including Google for the purpose of using the various Google Analytics features described herein. We provide our service providers with the information they need to fulfill their mandate, and we do not authorize them to use or disclose this personal information for their own commercial or other purposes. We may disclose your information to our service providers to support our business operations and to enable us to provide you with our products and services. These service providers include companies whose products and services integrate with services such as "Microsoft Cloud Solutions Provider", "Amazon AWS Partner Network", "Google Suite" and "Google Cloud" and various "SaaS" applications. We do not authorize them to use or disclose any personal information;

- entities, organizations and authorities for legal purposes. In other words, we and our third-party service providers may disclose your personal information in response to a search warrant or other lawful request or order, or to respond to an investigative body in the case of a breach of an agreement or contravention of law, or as otherwise required or permitted by law. We may also disclose personal information as necessary for the purpose of asserting or enforcing legal claims or defending against such claims, or for the purpose of preventing actual or alleged loss or injury to persons or damage to property; and/or

- another entity in the event that we sell all or part of our business or sell or transfer assets or otherwise participate in a merger or transfer of business. In such circumstances, we may transfer your personal information to a third party, who may use it for the same purposes.

Collection, Use, Communication and Storage Outside Quebec

International Transfers. Ceratec Surfaces, its service providers and other third parties to whom Ceratec Surfaces discloses or transfers personal information under this Privacy Policy may do business outside Quebec and Canada. Any personal information used, stored or accessed in foreign countries or provinces other than Quebec may be subject to the laws of those countries or provinces (for example, where a service provider operates globally). As a result, personal information may be disclosed in response to valid requests or requirements from government authorities, courts or law enforcement authorities in foreign countries or provinces.

Security measures. In all cases of transfer of your personal information to a jurisdiction other than Quebec, we ensure that your personal information will be treated securely in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Retention of Personal Information

We will retain personal information only as long as is reasonably necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes for which it was collected, including satisfying legal, accounting and disclosure requirements and asserting or defending legal rights. In determining the appropriate length of time to retain your personal information, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the personal information, the level of potential risk and severity of unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal information and whether we can fulfill the purposes by other means, as well as applicable legal, regulatory, tax, accounting and other requirements.

We keep your personal information only as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy, or longer if required by applicable law. When it is no longer required, your personal information is destroyed or anonymized (so that it can no longer identify you) in a secure manner, in accordance with applicable laws.

Protection of Personal Information

Ceratec Surfaces is committed to protecting the confidentiality, integrity, availability and privacy of your personal information. Ceratec Surfaces employs safeguards that are customary in the industry and reasonable in light of the sensitivity of personal information, including physical, electronic and organizational security measures.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information over the Internet is not completely secure. While Ceratec Surfaces makes every effort to protect your personal information, Ceratec Surfaces cannot guarantee that there will be no security breaches in the transmission of information through the Service. Any transmission is at your own risk.

Links to External Websites Belonging to Third Parties

Our Service may contain links to other sites that do not belong to Ceratec Surfaces. In addition, links to our Service may appear on third-party websites on which we advertise. Your Rights and how to Exercise them

Access : You may request access to your personal information in our custody and control. Where permitted by law on or after September 22, 2024, in certain circumstances, you will have the right to request that certain of your personal information be provided to you or another data controller in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable technological format.

Updating : You have the right to access and update your personal information in our custody and control and to correct errors in that information, subject to certain exceptions provided by law.

Processing : You may request information about the processing of your personal information. Specifically, you may ask what personal information has been collected, how it is processed, the categories of persons who have access to such personal information within Ceratec Surfaces, the applicable retention period, the contact details of the person responsible for the personal information and the source of the personal information if it has been collected from third parties.

Withdrawal of Consent : You may withdraw your consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information at any time. However, if you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to continue to respond to your inquiries, process any requests made to us or otherwise assist you with respect to our Service.

Changes to Privacy Policy

While it is not our intention to make frequent or substantial changes to this Privacy Policy, we may do so in order to serve you better in the future or in light of changes in our service offering, technology or the law. We invite you to review the content regularly to be notified of any changes to the Privacy Policy.

If the changes are substantial, we will send you a notice via the Web Site or by any other means so that you can familiarize yourself with the changes before continuing to use our Service. 1. Receipt of complaint: If you wish to make any of the above requests, or if you have any concerns regarding the processing of your personal data, please contact us by email at [email protected]. When contacting us, please provide sufficient details to allow Ceratec to confirm your identity. Ceratec may contact you directly to confirm your identity. Ceratec will respond to your request as soon as possible and the requested information will normally be released to you within 30 days, unless prohibited by law.

2. Complaint Assessment: Our Privacy Officer will assess requests with the assistance of Ceratec's Privacy Committee to determine if the request is valid and falls under Law 25.

3. Investigation: If the request is deemed valid, further investigation is carried out to better understand the circumstances of the request. This may involve consulting files, speaking to staff members or examining internal procedures.

4. Resolution: Upon completion of the investigation, based on the results, the Privacy Officer, with the assistance of the Privacy Committee, will implement measures and/or follow up on the request.

5. Communication: Ceratec will communicate within 30 days to the person who made the request and/or complaint the results of the investigation as well as the measures taken to respond to the request and/or complaint.

6. Follow-up: Ceratec will follow up with the person concerned to ensure that the request and/or complaint has been handled correctly.
